Who is the treatment suited for?

Please note that the Internet-based treatment/study described on this website is conducted in Swedish and only available to people registered and living in Stockholm, Sweden.

In this study (the Magdalena study) we study the effect of Internet-based cognitive behavioral therapy (ICBT) and medical treatment in pregnant women with depression.

In order to participate in the study you need to:

  • Be registered in Stockholm County.
  • Be in pregnancy week 9-17.

You cannot participate in the study if you:

  • Have passed pregnancy week 17.
  • Have a known allergy or unexpected reaction to Zoloft or any of its excipients.
  • Has ongoing medication with antidepressant medication (SSRIs, SNRIs or TCAs), mood stabilizers, antiepileptic medication, psychotropic medication, tramadol, propafenone, tolbutamide, flekainide, psychostimulants and atomoxetine, insulin or steroids.
  • Have severe bodily disease that requires regular treatment with systemic steroids, severe cardiovascular and/or lung diseases, kidney disease, liver disease, diabetes mellitus, or epilepsy with medication therapy.
